Love? Marriage?
I don't why and when did I start discussing my private life and views with my classmates. So yesterday when a classmate gave me some advice on my love life, I was er, a little surprise.
You are still very young, do not just throw yourself totally into work, learn to embrace love, learn to keep your options open.
I wondered when did I start giving people the idea that I am a power-hungry money chasing animal. Yes, I mean, I am power-hungry, money -chasing but amidst all that, I still embrace life and still look forward to love. Despite my belief that a woman does not necessarily need a husband but children are a must, I still have positive outlook on marriage, provided that I have found the right person. If I found a great person whom I do not feel like getting married to, I would not. So the key here is the person, and of course the impulse to want to get married. Why impulse? Come on, marriage is a union but the preparation is pure hell, long and painful and not to mention expensive. So you have to be impulsive enough to pay deposit for everything and then realise that not getting married is too wasteful, then only will you grit your teeth and go through the whole thing. But if you allow yourself time to sit and think about it, you start to get afraid, lazy and think that all these are a waste of time and money. Just live together and happily ever after lah. I want to marry the man whom I think will be a good father to my Lucas and Meredith.
Marriage is so much more than having woken up with the same person next to you for 40 years. We are all complete person ourselves so to find the other half is to find the key to the mystery of life, for without him , you will never know the limits.
Marriage is when you woke up to each other's bad breathe each morning, you wish that you will have another 40 years of each other's breathe.
Marriage is after you tore each other's hair out, you change into your shirt and pants and bring your wife out for high tea.
Marriage is when you experience his pain.
Marriage is when you know that your life is never the same without him again.
Marriage is when romance is expressed through watching tv together.
Marriage is when I love you is expressed as have you eaten.
Marriage is when memories are all you need when he left to heaven.
Marriage is what you really want it to be.
Who am I to talk about marriage?
